Horsemen Den Draft Grades
and Analysis
6/21/24
Incubus
Grade: B
-
Analysis: Paul's
team hinges on several key factors. Success will come if either Aaron
Rodgers or Tua performs as a top 10 QB and assuming Paul can make the right
weekly start decision. Derrick Henry needs to return to his dominant form,
DeAndre Hopkins plays like his 2019 self, and Christian McCaffrey must
continue being a touchdown machine.
Utter Dominance
Grade: B+
-
Analysis: Tom's
revamped team boasts an impressive wide receiver trio of Justin Jefferson,
Tyreek Hill, and DK Metcalf. While Marvin Jr might have been a better choice
overall, Jayden Daniels at pick 11 and sleeper TE Sinnot add solid value.
Tom also made sure to include his trademark Bills pick with Ray Davis.
TBD
Grade: A+
-
Analysis: Wisely
skeptical of Deshaun Watson, TBD secured at least six starters, including
Caleb Williams, Brock Bowers, Keon Coleman, Xavier Legette, Detroit's OL,
and Harrison Butker. Tracey and All add depth.
Gamblers
Grade: A
-
Analysis: Acquiring
Patrick Mahomes and Amon-Ra St. Brown via trade was a game-changer. Adding
Brian Thomas and TroyFranklin strengthens the WR core, while taking flyers
on Wright, Austin Ekeler, and Sanders adds further potential. Gamblers are a
sleeper team poised to win the West.
Bohemians
Grade: B-
-
Analysis: Highlighting
Odunza and acquiring a 2025 second-rounder for a third-rounder was a shrewd
move. J.K. Dobbins' return is notable, though there's skepticism about his
durability.
Horsemen
Grade: B-
-
Analysis: Harrison
Jr. should be a standout. With no established RBs, the team is banking on
Brooks and Benson developing into stars in the future. Was hoping Jayden
Daniels would fall to 16, but Roberts f’d that up, so drafted
JJ McCarthy due to his coach and roster around him. The Philly OL is
expected to be strong. With two first-rounders next year, Horsemen are in
rebuild mode.
Goats
Grade: C-
-
Analysis: Mitchell
was a solid pick, but trading a 2025 second-rounder for James Conner raises
questions.
Cellmates
Grade: B
-
Analysis: Departing
from his usual rookie-heavy drafts,
Romey opted for veterans to compete immediately. The primary challenge will
be selecting the right RB to pair with Kenneth Walker each week. A trade
involving RBs for future picks seems plausible.
DDR
Grade: B+
-
Analysis: Selecting
Joe Mixon (the second Horsemen player taken in the first round) should yield
strong results for 2024 and possibly 2025. With the team in win-now mode,
Travis Kelce's potential retirement in the next year or two looms. Drake
Maye’s physical tools offer promise, but he remains a risky pick.
Co’s Pro’s
Grade: B
-
Analysis: Opting
for Evan Engram at pick 11 was surprising yet solid. Bo Nix is expected to
be a reliable 10-20 range QB, and Curtis Samuel adds value. Not drafting
Coleman was a disappointment.
Buffalo 66
Grade: B+
-
Analysis: Likely
pleased with my Jonathan Brooks selection, he drafted
Nabers, who should excel despite having Daniel Jones as his QB for another
year. Michael Penix Jr. could be the steal of the draft.
Crushers
Grade: C+
-
Analysis: Lou
focused on veterans like Cooper Kupp, Chris Godwin, Mike Williams, and
Daniel Bellinger. However, the early odds suggest each could miss
significant time due to injuries in 2024, impacting Lou’s win/loss record.
Can already hear the F#CK OFF from Lou.
Endzone Animals
Grade: D
-
Analysis: Last
year’s all-in strategy to acquire Amari Cooper and Davante Adams added two
solid WRs, but no draft picks
now means he had to listen to everyone rave about their picks while he drank
his Zima’s with Roberts.
Goodfellas
Grade: B-
· Analysis: Traded
Etienne for Kittle. Two things: Did you know Kittle is down to like 220lbs
due to his core surgery? Njoku is all over X bashing you two as
incompetent owners….To make up for trading Etienne, you got JAX Ol. Little
scoop, I had them, they rarely rush for 100 yards. Corum is solid sleeper.
